St.Louis Citizens for Climate Action: Schlafly Bottleworks (great beer!), August 24th, 7-9 p.m.

    What: Moderated panel discussion and forum on creating climate leadership in St. Louis
    Where: Schlafly’s Bottleworks in Maplewood
    Who: St. Louis citizens for climate action
    Can St. Louis lead on climate action? If so, how?
    Join us as a diverse group of distinguished St. Louis thought leaders share their ideas on “How to create the political will for climate leadership in St. Louis”.
    This event will be a moderated panel discussion and forum. The objective will be to establish specific recommendations and action items for those in attendance.
    List of panelists: 
    Don Corrigan:  A longtime journalism educator at Webster University, a well-known weekly newspaper editor, and the author of noted outdoor and environmental books. Don is also the director of the Outdoor/Environmental Journalism Certificate at Webster University.
    Dr. Jack Fishman:  Professor in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and Director of the Center for Environmental Sciences at Saint Louis University. Prior to SLU, Dr. Fishman worked at the NASA Langley Research Center where his research focused on the area of tropospheric chemistry for more than three decades
    Sister Barbara Jennings:  Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet (Catholic) and Coordinator for the Midwest Coalition for Responsible Investment (MRCI).  Sister Barbara works to address issues of corporate social responsibility by working for justice in and through economic structures and for care of Earth and its resources.
    Larry Lazar:  Organizer of “Climate Reality-St. Louis” and a Mentor for the “Climate Reality Project.”  Larry speaks on the need for action on climate change throughout the St. Louis region.
    Ken Tucker:  Candidate for Missouri House District 106 and Board Member of the Greater St. Charles County Chamber.
    Moderated by: Kate Lovelady, Leader of the Ethical Society of St. Louis. 
    There is no cost to attend, however, patronage of Schlafly’s is appreciated.
