300-year-old food forest on 2 acres in Viet Nam

I have also seen videos of small sustainable plots on the edge of the Amazon forest where planting just 50 species of shrubs and fruit and nut trees is sufficient for a small farmer to support his family and have surplus to sell.  Fifty may sound like a lot but in fact it is really not that many plants to take care of. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-5ZgzwoQ-ao
