Arctic Oscillation flips to extreme negative; temperatures at Svalbard expected to be in low to mid 40s (F) all week

This is not so good:

And neither is this (get a better idea at this link http://synoptic.envsci.rutgers.edu/site/sat/sat.php?sat=nhem&url=../imgs/wv_nhem_anim.gif):

Sorry, it is just that the polar jet stream has moved very far north and by the looks of things, warm air is going straight into the Arctic via the Barents Sea, melting back the sea ice there and warming Svalbard to temperatures even in the 40s (F).

As to the Arctic Oscillation, I probably shouldn't have written that cuz I don't know what I am talking about.
