"And there is an old saying, 'If you are not willing to lead, then get out of the way.' And, I would ask the United States: We ask for your leadership. We seek your leadership. But, if for some reason you are not willing to lead, leave it to the rest of us. Please get out of the way." (Bali, 2007)

Kevin Conrad, hero of our times!
Thanks for your comment on the Conrad thank you blog!
danny b!
btw, how did you find our his name is Kevin Conrad *Haripem*? Do you know anything else about his background? Did he go to Harvard B school or Columbia b school, the media has both? Was he born in USA or in PNG? Is his passport USA or PNG? I read his passport is USA, so he was really speaking truth to power!!!!!
a blogger on another blog adds:
The “killer blow” from PNG was a rhetoric masterpiece! Thomas Paine, the great American revolutionary thinker, has been credited with the line “lead, follow or get out of the way”, adressing US Senators who were not living up to the democratic ideals of the newly founded democratic nation. Therefore Im sure the “killer blow” hit the American delegation very hard indeed!
how about TIME person of the year
