Dear Readers,
Perhaps you will find my posting of the MODIS Rapidfire satellite images of the Jakobshavn Glacier repetitive, but it is just a particular fascination of mine.
It is startling to see the retreat, now beyond its former farthest retreat, recorded in 2006.
The retreat of the ice sheet, all over Greenland, this year, is quite astounding, and has revealed terrain that has not been exposed for over a thousand and perhaps for thousands of years.
I think we can safely say that this retreat is unnaturally rapid.

please don´t think this blog is useless. It is a great service to all people that follow the unfolding climate crisis, you are doing a very good job of collecting news as it appears in one easily accessible spot. I´d miss it a lot were you to stop. (I say that because a while ago you mentioned that you dont know whether this blog is useful for anything. Be assured, it is!)
Dear Yenna,
I forgot to thank you for your very kind remarks as I was in the process of leaving Brazil to come to the U.S. for medical treatment. Sorry, Tenney
