New Management, Same Misinformation? Tell Jeff Bezos To Stop The Washington Post's Climate Denial
On Monday, Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon.com, bought The Washington Post. The day before, The Post published an op-ed that claims that action on climate change is a strategy to “undermine the free-market economy and enforce an anti-growth lifestyle.” It's just the latest example of The Post's editorial page giving space to denialist myths from the likes of George Will, Charles Krauthammer, and Marc Thiessen.
In a letter to Post employees, Bezos promised to "follow the truth" wherever it leads. If he is serious about that commitment, his first order of business should be to ensure that climate denial no longer has a place at the paper, including the editorial pages. Join us to make sure Jeff Bezos makes strong climate coverage a top priority at The Washington Post.
