Bryan Lovell, oil geologist and president of the Geological Society of London, speaks out on the paleo evidence for manmade warming

If you pull the carbon trigger and dump it into the atmosphere, warming happens.  Several gigatons have been dumped into the atmosphere, and all the geological evidence says that if we keep on doing what we are doing very bad things are going to happen.  He presents an independent line of evidence, separate from that from the atmospheric physicists, showing that putting this amount of CO2 into the atmosphere will cause catastrophe.  He says the rock record tells us we have a problem, not models.
