With millions of dollars pouring into faux "think" tanks in order to spread lies about the climate science and researchers, we now have proof that comments are being posted by fake personas.
A good example are these recent duplicate comments, posted today, one minute apart, by two separate identities on Michael Tobis' blog, "Only in it for the gold." http://initforthegold.blogspot.com/2011/02/montana-to-repeal-global-warming.html
Actually, there is no way to prove that these comments were posted by a software program, but such programs do exist.
Please see this article on Daily Kos describing the use of such software: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/02/16/945768/-UPDATED:-The-HB-Gary-Email-That-Should-Concern-Us-All

- Great writing. I particularly liked the final twist: After all, isn't repealing physical phenomena a federal matter?
- Well that does it! Proposing Montana to be expelled from UN secular counsil, since they have unerthly laws straight down the line!
- So I guess we need to amend the old saying about Montana ... "Montana, where men are men, and sheep worry ... and science does not apply".
- Proposing sanctions against Montana: 1) Henceforth, only measurement devices allowed to be exported to Montana should use Aramaic numbers or literal definition of these, these should be produced under divine inspiration not to distress the regular Montanans. 2) As "God does not throw a dice", all references to natural numbers present in dice (1,2,3,4,5,6) shall be overstriked in books due Montana, and henceforth these shall be replaced with the names of Jacobs' sons, of which there were simenonlevi, but as the actual number of these is larger than the 'satanic diceal' numbers, some interpretative freedom will be maintained by local Montanan group leaders.
- So if you warmists are right that the world continues to have warmer temperatures, somehow Montana is worse Off? Last time I checked, longer growing seasons and not so cold winters would be a benefit to a state located near the Canadian border. Of course, if you are wrong and what we have seen so far is just mostly natural variation in temperature, then this is all a tempest in a teapot, and you will find other ways to seek federal grant dollars to pay your salaries.

- Now THERE is a coincidence.
