Well, we've reached one of those milestones, a BIG NUMBER! (at least for me it is).
Just a few minutes ago, the stat counter clicked over on page view number 500,000!
Someone in East Lansing, Michigan, or thereabouts, using a Mac, did a google search on John Abraham's name and checked out this blog.
I hope whoever it was found the information they needed.

congrats, tenney, here's to the next half million
ReplyDelete1 - careful in posting this info, might affect the person browsing and be legal proof in case of disputes... better would be a less specific query, and let the interested persons come back to you.
ReplyDelete2 - congratulations for the achievement. I have been reading this blog for about 18 months, and i find it always very interesting and informative.
3 - a minor gripe I have is that the focus of this blog is shifting from a extremely informative reporting of scientific papers and facts to a more political one.. I used to read first this, then climate progress .. now there is a lot of overlap. Climate progress is very deeply interested in USA politics, a wider geopolitical view would be refreshing and interesting.
Dear Anon,
ReplyDeleteYou are correct that presently there is too much overlap with CP and not enough science.
In the run up to major policy conferences like the one coming up in Cancun, Mexico, the blog gets top heavy in policy.
Normally, in December, a lot of science comes out at the Fall Meeting of the AGU. Sometimes, it won't come out until January or February.
I am very cognizant of the fact that primary source science has been lacking in recent weeks. I am just getting spread very thin.
Also, for a week or two, for some reason, the blog was showing only 2 or 3 posts on its main page (might have something to do with slamming a power anti-environment lawyer, I dunno), so I didn't post much.
Don't look for a lot of new science until after the Cancun meeting because I will be live blogging and summarizing events, not so much the first week, but during the second week. After that, I'll be back to finding good science to post.
Wow Tenney! That's wonderful. Looking forward to your posts from Cancun!
