May 29, 2008, status of GIS and Arctic sea ice

Note the severe pullback in the snow cover on the southwestern coast of Greenland -- Greenland is experiencing temperatures similar to the record-breaking temperatures of 1998. Note that it is not possible to use the site to compare the snow cover in 1998, as that data was not available.
