In the AMSR-E images is shown that there was little melt in Beaufort Sea. How can NSIDC said that there is strong melt here?<br /><br />I guess that there is a ridge of thick multiyear and 2-year ice surrounding the thin FYI here that is protecting the bulk of ice from warm waters. <br /><br />But again, why NSIDC said nothing about that?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
