It seems a strombolian erupti...Beautiful fireworks!<br />It seems a strombolian eruption. <br /><br />Strombolian eruptions are feeded by fluid basaltic magma filled with volatiles. When the bubbles of gas rise from the bottom of the magma chamber , they pull the magma with them. Finally, after reaching the surface, the bubbles explode throwing small fragments of lava outside the crater.<br /><br />Strombolian eruptions are spectacular but do not cause great explosions, and so are not a dangerous type of volcanic activity(unless you are sitting right above of the volcano itself).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
